Take the threaded hitch pin and screw it through the receiver of your vehicle and hitch bar that was inserted in the receiver at step 1. Tighten with a cordless power driver and finish with a torque wrench, tighten to 150 FT. LBS. When completed, advance to the Assembly of the transversal bars.
European Tow Ball Mounted
With provided lock
Remove the two lower fasteners and the lock if present. Loosen the two upper fasteners to allow the coupler to open just wide enough and slide over the tow ball.
While holding the rack straight, gently move your rack side to side and compress the coupler with your hand. If lock is present, insert in the middle hole and lock in place for stability during the installation process. Gently pull back on the eRACK and insert the lower fastener, located near the wheels, through the coupler. Put two washers and hand thread the nut.
Gently push the rack forward toward the vehicle and put the lower vehicle side fastener through the coupler. Put two washers and hand thread the nut.
Align the eRACK with the vehicle and keep it in the push forward position while tightening. Using the torque wrench and open key provided with the eRACK, alternating between the four fasteners in a cross pattern, tighten evenly, to 108 nm. The torque wrench should be preset at 108nm for your convenience and visible on the handle. When you have reached the set torque, you will hear a single clicking sound.
To speed things up, the use of a cordless power driver is recommended. Then leaving only a few turns with the manual torque wrench to complete the install.

Installation of the transversal bars for all eRACKs
Take the top bar and hold it a half inch above the top plates. Plug the signal light female connection, in the top bar, to the male connection in the power arm.
Lower the top bar between the top plates until the predrilled holes align. Take care maneuvering the power connection into the power arm as you lower the bar. Make sure there are no wires in the way before you insert the two top bar ½ inch bolts. Tighten with a 19 mm or ¾ inch socket drive. You have the choice between the Sport series and the Compact series top bar.
Take the lower bar, place the flat side against the power arm, and align it with the holes in the middle of the power arm. Please note that the lower bar is offset from the top bar and will be longer on the right side for most models. Make sure there are no wires in the way and insert the ½ inch bolts. Tighten with a 19 mm or ¾ inch socket drive.
Connect the power to your trailer connection. Check that all the lights are functioning and the rack moves when the remote is used.
Optional: Lock the rack to your vehicle. A chain or other form of security cable can be run through the hole in the side pivot plate next to the hitch bar.
Universal series: Installation of upper pods
Simple upper pod is fully assemble
For the double pods, loosen the basket already on the pod by unscrewing the nuts on the U-bolt that goes through the blue rectangle brackets on each side of the pod, turn it so it is perpendicular to the pod, make sure the ends of the rod are flush with the bottom hole. Once straight, tight it up. Insert the second basket in the empty position, place it perpendicular like the first one and tighten it up.
For the triple pod, the baskets are installed on the pod. Take the triple extenders and three ⅜ 4 ¼ inch long bolts identify in the little box, insert the bolts with one washer on each through the three holes at the top of the extender, put a washer on the other side and tighten it up. Repeat the same process with the small triple extenders.
Installation of upper extension on the top bar
Measure the distance between the two wheels of your trike..
Measure the same distance on the upper bar from the driver side adjustment ⅜ holes to the holes the opposite side.
place the extensions at each end of this measure and secure with the ⅜ x 4 ½ inch bolts, don’t tighten yet.
Bring the rack down, roll your bike in front of the baskets, check if your bike fits comfortably in the baskets. The wheels should be towards the right side of the basket. The baskets are not made to be tight around the wheels to allow the loading on uneven terrain.
Adjust extensions if needed.
When at the right position, tighten the bolt to 40 FT-LBS if you have a torque wrench.
How much torque on bolts to assemble:
Grade 8 bolts ½: torque to 80 FT-LBS.
Grade 8 bolt ⅜: torque to 40 FT-LBS.
Grade 8 bolt ⅝ Square hitch pivot hardware: torque to 150 FT-LBS.
Grade 8 Hardware European coupler: torque to 108 NM
